In the land of Twilight

I've had just a fantastic weekend. Finally got to have a huge party full of family, friends and filled this house with laughter. I really do love it here, feel at home. I love the peace, and am excited about the life I'll lead here.

Thanks so much for coming, everyone. Glad that savagesparrow could drive up with Brion from Chicago. It was a nice mix of work peeps, art peeps, and family. And so hilarious to watch everyone interact.

I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many fantastic people who really care for and about me. I love the life I've got. I love that my friends care enough to make me a pop-up card with characters from our comics! or take me out to see a musical, and love to play board games that make us laugh so hard it's amazing I was able to breathe.

I spent some time in Baraboo, checked out the amazing Turtle Island Bead shop, and got some art done in good company!

30 is already a great age to be. Wonder what I'll have accomplished by this time next year.

Well. :P The second marketing company I was doing work for just hired someone full time, and won't be needing my consulting might. Which is too bad because I totally rocked out and launched a site for them in less than a week(validated transitional!), and I know they've been happy with me.

I do enjoy working for marketing companies though. Just wish someone would like me so much they'd keep me.

I was able to get all the panels roughed in for page 19 on Sunday in about 2.5 hours, I impressed myself!

edit: hmm, they may have a little bit more work for me, perhaps some flash.

Ugh, I hurt my back badly at work last wednesday, and have spent 4 days on my back with my legs up. :(

My birthday is wednesday. Usually I'm excited about the prospect. I can't believe it's here so fast, and in a way I'm dreading it. My family has always gotten together for birthdays... I'm very sad my father won't be there.
