I'm 30! had a fantastic birthday, all things considered. Hiking the east bluffs at devils lake with my mom on a glorious, not too hot day. Mini-golf with my family and mom's new dancing boyfriend, and a brilliant dinner at Prime Quarter where you grill your own steak. Mine was a teriyaki steak and was fab, watched closely over flame by my brother.

Part of my gifts were an awesome long rack/long loom set of knitting looms from my mom. I saw these online somewhere, and put them on my amazon wish list. So much fun! I knit about 3 feet last night, and it doesn't look half bad. It's strangely relaxing and compelling to watch the inches of soft yarn grow. I haven't got to the end of the scarf yet, so I still need to learn how to cast off, haha, will learn that bridge when I get to it.
