What I did on my Labor Day Weekend

bleaknimue, she taught me how she makes her excellent art dolls, with an intensive hands on, 2 day class! whew!
I will never underestimate the work she puts into her art. It's tough, and precise, and oh so much fun.
So, meet Linea, my first art doll.
Now, I'm kinda in an art hangover, but I think I should get up and moving so I can finish up my next page of my comic.
Did I mention that Tribute Waters is now live, online, and updating on Fridays?

The show /opening went very well. We had tons of people come by, and it was great to have something to show everyone. Pics from yesterday are here.
My piece was called Moontalkers, and was created all digital and then printed using a dye-sublimation on canvas.
Here's a slideshow for the evolution of this piece over the last few weeks, and a sketch from a while ago, i also should scan a few moleskin sketches about the piece which has been floating around in my head for over 2 years.
I'm really happy with how it turned out, it's the largest my work has ever been. :D

Mad myself soup and salad for dinner and watched avatar finale last night.
Spoke briefly with uminomamori who gave me permission to do art instead of more unpacking last night. (thanks) I watched the first disc of Kitchen Confidential, which divalea had thought I'd enjoy. She's right. Though, so funny, thought it was a reality show. haha.
Spent some time deflating, inflating, and patching airbeds. gah. So very tired of camping in my own house.

Woo, more than halfway done with this project. Need to try to squeeze 2-3 more illios in this week. I've been very happy with these.
