house gone. listing agent screwed the buyers, screwed our agent and us by not mentioning there was another offer to let us modify ours.

can you please post some things to cheer me ? I'm in deep woe.

Yeah we lost the house we where shooting for the same way. Our agent told theirs that we where willing to negotiate and look at counter-offers but the listing agent told the seller that the other offer was high enough that we probably wouldn't accept a counter. We have no idea what it went for so who's to say we wouldn't have considered it. Oh well, shit happens and there are always other houses, this is a buyers market and the perfect time to look.

Are you guys looking in Madison or Sun Prairie or both? What house did you guys put an offer on?
