dreamlingWell, I'm waitlisted for design fundamentals. The head of the art dept thinks I should be able to get into it pretty easy. Just need the teacher to sign me in or something.
I'm excited and kinda scared. Starting next month I'll be working my full time job, and going to school part time, 6 credits. night classes, so... from 5:30-8:30 monday through thursday, I'll be in school.
Granted, Art school type stuff, for a 2 year degree, but still, noo free time... no xbox, no art night, mebbe some anime nights... and back to homework and papers...
I know I'm making the right decision, and I'll work hard, and take a couple classes each semester, and hopefully it'll be over before I can think, and I'll be a better artist because of it. If I don't start taking classes soon, then all I'll be is a twenty-something expert on video games, with undeveloped art skills, just wishing I could draw the things in my head to share with the world.
But it's a tad worrisome, to think I won't see my husband as much, and that when I get home at 8:30 it's time for homework, and where will dinner come in?
I hope I can make some friends at school,
ok, who else can't believe I just wrote that, ugh, feel like I'm in junior high. Seriously though, I'll need to connect with some other students, to make it through my first semester sane.
Will they think I'm the old one? This is a local tech school, a lot of students right out of high school.
I just need to hold on to my dreams, hold on to the knowledge that I will improve artistically, and that is what I want, and it will improve so many other things, from my random doodles, to the web development and user interface work I do.
and beyond all that... more elves. Elves are good, right?
