dreamling: pink hair 2019 (Oh my head)
me: is it a good thing if the head of hr goes into my bosses office?
yay paranoia
[livejournal.com profile] wenhaver: i doubt it has anything to do with you
1:54 PM me: last one on one i had with my boss, she inplied she thought i was an idiot and the time before that implied that i may be fired for leaving 15min early on the day after thanksgiving but... i should think positive. it has nothing to do with me

My coworker Eric and I shared a look when we say the HR lady in our bosses office. Shortly after, he received a call and went off somewhere. Returning soon with a manila envelope, walking back to his desk with someone trailing with boxes.

"It's not you, "he said," It's me." and waved the folder at me.

My heart started beating very hard. So I trashed my personal folder, and shut things down just about the time I got a call from another HR lady.

I was directed into the lead HR office where they told me my position had become redundant with a recent acquisition. I was being laid off. The rest was pretty much standard operating procedure. This is my third layoff, and not really all that surprising. I hadn't been hearing much info about future projects, basically since I got a new boss.

The worst insult of the day was sitting with the IT dept in a 3 hour meeting in the morning, where he basically answered questions and accusations from all 3 IT departments worldwide. He did state, near the end of the three hours that if there were to be some downsizing it would likely not be from our location. :P What a waste of time.

Right.

So anyway, got a bit of time to relax, work on my resume. ect.
Wish me luck.
