daily daze
May. 11th, 2005 12:51 pmSo, last night I did indeed finish up the toning for page 12! Yay for photoshop. After I did, Pete, Kim and I took a walk up and down the street near the lake, for a change of pace. It was wonderful, nice breeze, calm waters, cool, but not cold.
I'm so proud of this zine, it's all coming together to look great. We submitted the proofs from yesterday, and Maciek had most of the corrections done by the time we came back.
I had to head home, as it was quite late, before getting a new proof, but the crew will be looking it over today. Then Pete and I are going to copymax to make up a buncha zines, where we'll collate them, and run them through the stapling machine. whee!
~~
Today, my husband sold his beautiful 71 sassy grass barracuda. This has enabled us to do things like: pay off the neon, pay taxes and, more importantly, order my husband the first new computer he's had since 91.
He is more than a little enthused.
He's getting Apple's monster laptop, the 17inch. I made sure to order a bag to fit it, so he wouldn't be carrying it around in a bag older than 91, with no padding.
I also managed to sneak a copy of Tiger, iLife and iWork in there for me.
Whee!
So, much excitement, and I won't likely be here when it arrives, either. (we opted for the 2-3 day shipping)
~~
Dad had a brain scan today, to see if the cancer has spread to his brain. Not sure if they got a clear picture though. He has radiation this afternoon, and was still really groggy from drugs and lack of sleep, when I went to my parents for lunch today. I wanted to make sure I saw my parents though, before I'm gone for the rest of the week.
