No mountains this morning

There were no mountains to wake up to this morning. For the last few days, each time we would leave the house for breakfast, I would see the mountains I had forgotten were there during my slumber.

Somehow, the cows around here aren't as majestic as those stony ridges breaking apart the horizons.
