Had a nice weekend, Friday was anime over at the [livejournal.com profile] smuga's we watched all of
R.O.D. - Read or Die
, which is beautiful, and quirky. [livejournal.com profile] jess_roqs and Ace were there too, which was nice.

Saturday, was a relaxing day, did some cleaning, went to see the Hulk. Which we enjoyed. I found the cinematic cuts to be a bit epileptic, but enjoyed the movie and effects. My husband raved about the movie, really enjoyed it. I love it when he's happy.

Sunday, was busy, I got all prettified to go to [livejournal.com profile] smuga's high tea. I even wore a green dress, sandals and earrings! Somehow I ended up on time, which is funny, because I thought I'd be late, which was a pleasant change. I finally got to meet the famed Katya and Scott and their tiny new pixie, Valya, who was beautiful. There was ice tea, two kinds of bread, four or five kinds of cheese, melon, and one awesome fruit pie, and an amazing layered coconut butter cream cake (care of [livejournal.com profile] jess_roqs). I think some sparkling cider also showed up, as well as many of our friends from the Friday night reading group crew.

So, we were full of goodies and laughter, and good company. We laughed at the strangely comforting heartbeat chair the baby was using, and talked about a variety of things from sci-fi, art, comics, college, anime. All in all a successful tea party. 3 cheers for the [livejournal.com profile] smuga's for a grand time.

I took off about 4:30 and raced home to get ready for our Sunday night role playing. Jaz and Tammy showed up and we had a lot of fun. My gnome rogue finally made it to 10th level, and the session was mostly about her meeting her contacts for her prestige class. I somehow beat the odds by rolling critical failures 3 times in a row in a rather difficult series of acrobat moves, resulting in a fall from the ceiling 3 times in a row for my poor little gnome. 4th time's the charm though... I wrote up how Vole was feeling after the game at Vole's little mini-site, The V Files. It's the last entry in the list. Felt really nice to do some creative writing.

Monday night, I took some time to beat
PSO
's Episode 2, and Episode 1, in that order, offline on normal difficulty. It was so much a breeze though, because my character is now almost level 50, and the offline difficulty is so much easier than online. Which means I'll be able to choose the levels I want to start on, online, on normal. That'll be nice for a change of pace, because frankly, I'm soo tired of fighting through the forest level over and over. I'm looking forward to fighting through the jungle, seaside areas with people online. The first 2 parts of Episode 2 are really annoying though, bad for camera angles, all old monsters, waste of time. Tougher, sure, but annoying. The later stuff is pretty, and fun. But almost no one plays the Ep2 levels online. I'm going to have to fix that.

Tuesday was more gaming, with the Girly Gaming crew, only it sounds like our third lady gamer won't be able to play with us. Too bad, because she's really fun, and seemed to enjoy herself. She's just got too much schoolwork. And it's understandable, but a shame. We still had a good time, though it seems quite like our characters are in waaay over their heads.

Wednesday, I didn't really feel like doing art night last night, but somehow, after some urging, and after Star Trek finished, I grabbed my art bag, picked up some blah coffee at the Stop N Go and wandered my way uptown to Ray's awesome apartment place. And after some coffee and coke, and a little more urging, I was working comic again. Kim and Maciek and Ray were working on the rest of chapter 5 for DnT, and they're really coming up with some awesome stuff. I had a decent art night as well, resisted the urge to draw bland elves, and almost finished panel 3/3 of the first page of the comic [livejournal.com profile] smuga and I are working on. Now I need to clean the panels up, and see if I can get them to fit correctly on a page, so we can play with the lettering. 3 panels though, farther than I've ever gotten, which is great! And really, it's so much fun to hang out with people working on comic stuff. Just need to keep pushing ahead. I'm glad I went over last night.

Kim and I bonded over mutual respect/memories of Wonderwoman Underoos! heh. The boys seemed a bit out of their area, but had plenty of Stelvia to talk about. and about, and about. ;)

Hey! I've got tomorrow off, yah!
