Fri---day!
Apr. 25th, 2003 02:11 pmYah for friday!
Got to do lunch with my hubby at Einstein’s. yum!
There was a girl there who talked loudly about bikini waxing and playboy waxing the entire time... loudly. Most people go to eat at Einstein’s, but she seemed to be there to talk, loudly. Her friend hardly said a word, perhaps quietly eating both their lunches. Still it was funny. And educational...
When I got back from lunch my co-worker gave me a free lunch for Culver's on Monday, he won some sort of drawing but got his own name, and gave the card to me. Some promotion for a new Culver's on Hiway V. ooh!
Buffy tonight! at Jims! and hopefully off to the first weekend for the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning. It means getting up early, but should be pleasant, plus, lots of things to photograph.
Last night of drawing class was wonderful, I was late, but apparently so was the model so I missed very little. I've begun posting some of my sketches up on metahari.com, but need to take pics from the last 3 weeks. I really understand why people say figure drawing is so good for you, you have to work quick, capture the essence of the pose, shadows, and it's never ever ever the same twice. Good practice.
The model was a nice guy, seemed interested in Art himself, said his wife does beady things and sells them at the Farmer's market, and has a little art group, where people do different arty type things, including pottery. Sounds a bit like our art night, only, we rarely pot things, rather, sometimes Kim has been known to do a bit of gardening, but no clay has arrived to play. Plasticine though.
I would encourage anyone who hasn't had the chance to take some mini-courses at the Union, they aren't too expensive and have a lot of variety. I think Maciek and I are going to take another art course at MATC this fall, likely the design class I had some trouble with last fall. But at least I won't be trying to take on two courses at the same time.
And from now till then, I just know it's going to be a great summer inbetween.
