Jan. 13th, 2003 01:51 pmYah, two things I really wanted to accomplish last weekend got done!
First, recap
We liked Gangs of New York, btw, the characters were very creative and distinctive.
We played a lot of Xbox Saturday night. Doug, and Dennis, and my brother came over, and they played Ghost Recon for a bit, and then Dennis and I played Toe Jam and Earl till about 2:30, when Dennis and Doug went home. Then I sacked out on the couch while my Brother and Husband played more Ghost Recon till 6:30 am! (This is the same game they played for 8 hours Christmas night)
Then the guys set up the bed in the guest room downstairs, so we can have people stay over!
So, after sleeping till quite late, my mother-in-law, brought over our Christmas gift, a hutch for our crystal glasses, and things! With the help of her, our friend Jaz, my husband, and myself, we got it all together, and it's soo pretty.
Then my mother-in-law, and I spent some more time putting pretty things into it, while the guys played, you guessed it, Ghost Recon.
I am so pleased to finally have a spot for a Chinese? porcelain figure from my great grandmother. look how pretty everything turned out!

Also I figured out how to play mp3's on my Casio Be-300, that I got from my Mom for Christmas. I need a nice cf card to hold more than one, but I’ll be cool if I can get audio books and such on it. Until then, I'm just playing 'mp3'
And then, we got to do a bit of gaming with Jaz and Eric, who showed up after my mother-in-law went back home to take care of her hubby.
Carlo basically had us go into a swamp, and set up the battle for next week.
whee, good weekend, lots accomplished, and new hutch!
only, it makes our living room look so nice, but makes our table look not so nice, we need a new table!
heh.
