oooh, I had a great birthday week. I got to go to anime iowa, and then got soul caliber 2 and dinner at red lobster with my husband who also got me flowers! And then, on Friday, my grandma and grandpa had us over for a really nice dinner, candles and every thing place set and beautiful, with balloons on their mailbox for me. And oh! everyone gave me really nice gifts.

'Sisterhood of the OSS', and 'Geisha' books from Mom and Dad, Mario ware for the GBA from my hubby. Buffy Season 3 from my hubby! Victoria's Secret 50$ certificate woo! from Mom. CD from my bro. A check from grandma and grandpa, and a pretty candle with a little copper bee that will keep moving on it's spring for a long time after you flick it, hee.

The walking sushi are a big hit at work, too.

We've been mainlining Buffy season 3 , and highlander season one DVD’s all weekend.

Also been working hard on a piece of art based on my Tiefling from my girly gaming.

happy belated birthday to you!!!

hey which system did you get sc2 for? we just picked it up for game cube last night and everytime we play it insists on doing a soul charge for every button we push. so you can imagine how quickly we die. is there some way to turn that off?

We went with the Xbox version, it only soul charges when we a) pull the right trigger, or b) press all three buttons somehow. Most of the time it behaves.

I don't know why yours soul charges, but have you tried changing the default control setup? Perhaps a diff config won't charge all the time.

Ivy is still my girl, I give Carlo a run, even when he's Spawn, and has been playing way more than me.

Isn't the game fun!

Chris and I got the GC version, too, and both have video game thumb from it. We're 3/4 through Weapons Master, and have gone through archade with most everyone. Fun fun fun.

I also found my DC in a box, and we're thinking about hooking that up and dusting off SCI for old times sake...

The DC version still holds up, and I prefer some of the character designs (seung mina), we had it out for a party recently, and it was as fun as ever.

The new version doesn't hold the same sense of awe as the DC version, but sure kicks a lotta butt.

mmm video games, and... Ware Ware is really addictive.

it rocks. link is alright. we don't have an xbox so we don't get spawn. :( matt was pretty good at spawn too. he and i both really rock at talim but so does everyone else so i'm gonna find meself and new baddass. i was good with ivy in sc1 but i don't really like her in 2. think i'm gonna go with seung mina or kalim... we'll see.

I do like talim, but haven't gotten much time with her (or the game much either, as I spent most of this weekend in photoshop, while others played)

Someone mentioned Talim is most like Ayane from DOA3, which piques my interest.

Seems harder to sidestep/grab in this version of SC.
